Web Site Policy

Part III. PRIVACY: The region's web site may have information posted about members that may include name, city, email address, and cars of ownership but may not include phone numbers, mailing addresses, other methods of contact.

a. Before any information is posted about members a signed form must be completed and on file with designated region officer and be known as the Web Information Release Form (WIRF).

i. A member may choose to have some, all, or none of the information provided on the web site that is specified on the WIRF.

ii. WIRF will include section to allow members who are holding meetings at locations that are not to be disclosed to the general public (such as homes, private collection/museums, etc.) to restrict the posting of information including, but not limiting, directions, locations, contact info.

iii. Region will require permission via WIRF on a per member basis to identify members, association with cars, etc. of all photos published online.

iv. Region will not require permission on a per-photo basis for photos posted once permission has been granted on the WIRF as blanket permission.

b. Region will post information of the names of club officers and will include an email address as a method of contact.

i. The club officer(s) may chose to also list a phone number at their discretion.

c. Region will offer a single mailing address on the web site for the region and it will be either a volunteer member's address or a proxy address (P.O. Box).

d. Region will not automatically put names of people, owners of cars, or information linking any person with their car to protect identities/ownership unless permission is granted using the WIRF.

e. All information, image, or likeness concerning any member or their cars will be removed at a member's request on a per-item basis by requesting in writing (via USPS or email service) to the webmaster.
